It's a forgone conclusion that maple bars are amazing. They’re the donut version of one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Then someone went and added bacon on top. It’s sorta like someone stuck the statue of Zeus at Olympia on top of the Great Pyramid of Giza. It's mind blowing. If you haven’t tried one of these, you must.
Our existing Google Docs integration has been like a big Canvas maple bar. This integration has allowed customers to collaborate in real time, just like they would in a face-to-face setting. We recently announced an update to this integration that will allow for even easier collaboration within groups. In essence, we topped our integration with bacon.
With this update, all you have to do in Canvas is create a doc and share it with one of your existing groups. Everyone in that group is automatically shared on the document, and can begin working almost instantly in a secure, collaborative environment. The goal is to make it easier for groups to work together.
Canvas users can now enjoy all the great features this integration provides:
- Content durability - access documents long after courses end
- Document history - see who in the group contributed, and how much
- Iterative improvement - reduce the cycle time between instructor feedback and student response
- Versioning - track changes over the lifecycle of the document
So jump in and try the new and improved Google Docs in Canvas. It might not be a world wonder, but it will definitely make your Canvas group work easier.
